There has been some bad blood between Charlie Sheen and his ex-wife Brooke Mueller in the past.
But the actor is now saying that he is trying to make amends with his ex-wife for the sake of their twin sons.

The image emerged amid reports that the 45-year-old actor flew by private jet to ‘rescue’ Brooke, who is battling drug addiction, from an extreme rehab clinic in Mexico.
On Sunday they spent some quality time together with their two-year-old son.
Sheen said the family had a ‘great time’, playing and eating sweets.
He told the celebrity website TMZ.com: ‘Harmony is our goal. Sunday was a wonderful start.’
Mueller is currently undergoing treatment for drug addiction, but Sheen reportedly plans to move her into his neighborhood once she has finished rehab so the family can spend more time together.
Brooke, 33, had tried twice to leave the States to go on a controversial ‘extreme’ rehab in Mexico, and apparently, made it on the third attempt.
Sheen was however worried that the radical regime, which was to use drugs not even licensed in the U.S., could kill her – and flew in his private jet to rescue her.
TMZ reported how the actor decided he’d rather have Brooke go through the same treatments he recently underwent, so he’s brought her back to put her into rehab in America and he’s paying.
Sheen has brought on board a team of expert doctors and Brooke has been placed at a secret location.
The reality TV star had been planning to head to Mexico to undergo treatment with the controversial drug Ibogaine, to stop her cravings for illegal drugs.
Mueller had visited LAX airport twice last month to jet out of the country.
The first time, she boarded a United Airlines Flight, but got off the plane before it left the gate. Her second attempt was also a failure after she turned up without a passport.
Sources told Radar Online: ‘She was convinced that was a sign to not go to Mexico. Brooke was aware that Ibogaine is a very dangerous drug to take, and could potentially do more harm than good for her.’

Mueller has been through rehabilitation programs several times over the years and her struggle with sobriety was documented in Paris Hilton’s reality TV show, The World According To Paris.
Earlier this month the former actress was photographed carrying what appeared to be a make-shift crack pipe.
It came after she had just completed a 45-day out-patient rehab session for drug addiction.
Her messy divorce from Sheen and resulting custody battle over their two-year-old twins Bob and Max, heaped even more pressure on Mueller.
The couple, who wed in May 2008 and filed for divorce in 2009, have since come to agreement.

The pair is understood to have reached a deal in June, with both parents having joint legal and physical custody of their boys.
The pair married on a private estate in Beverly Hills, California, after two years together, then honeymooned in Costa Rica.
In 2009 Sheen was charged with assault following a dramatic Christmas Day fight with his then estranged wife Brooke.
