Highlights From The Teen Choice Awards 2012

Every year the biggest stars in the entertainment industry show up looking sensational at the Teen Choice Awards and this year was no different.

Selena Gomez showed off her beauty dressed in a pink Dsquared2 magenta dress paired with cream Herve Leger heels.

And to make the evening even more special, the singer and actress was celebrating her 20th birthday at the awards.

Next was Glee’s Lea Michele, who looked sexy dressed in a shiny silver dress, showing off her enviable legs.

The fitted frock clung to the 25-year-old’s slender frame and she sported matching platform pumps.

Demi Lovato, who hosted the show was dressed in a futuristic patterned dress in canary and silver hues which also boasted a feather trim.

Meanwhile her co-host Kevin McHale teamed a monochrome shirt with camouflage trousers.

As always, Taylor Swift looked elegant and wore a flowing cream number.

And of course what’s an event without Justin Bieber?

The singing sensation was seen posing for pictures with Portia De Rossi and Ellen Degeneres.

It was reported that after the award show, Bieber took his girlfriend out for a birthday dinner date.

The couple left the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles in Justin’s tricked out $150,000 West Coast Customs Mini Bus with friends to travel to Il Cielo restaurant in Beverly Hills.

During the Teen Choice Awards, Justin went through a selection of wardrobe changes, wearing a camouflage T-shirt and white trousers on the pink carpet, before changing into a wet look denim outfit with gold gloves for his performance.

The 18-year-old singer performed a medley of his hits Boyfriend and As Long as You Love Me before accepting his prizes.

‘This album has meant the world to me,’ Justin told his delighted fans. ‘This is just a reminder to everybody in here: Believe. Thank you.’

Bieber changed again into leather look pants, a white T-shirt and black sleeveless hoodie, showing off the new Believe tattoo on his left arm, to celebrate Selena’s birthday.

It was a double celebration though for the lovebirds because Selena managed to scoop the award for Choice Music Group with her band Selena Gomez and the Scene.

The delighted star was presented with birthday cupcakes as she received her award from actors Kevin Hart and Nina Dobrev onstage at the event.

Generous Selena passed out the treats to members of the audience and said ‘This is the best birthday ever, thank you so much.’

She was also serenaded by the audience who sang Happy Birthday to her.

Kristen Stewart also attended the Teen Choice Awards and although she by passed the photography line that many celebrities view as the highlight of any event, she showed off her designer outfit on stage at the Gibson Amphitheater.

Stewart stepped out wearing a Roberto Cavalli RE13 outfit which consisted of black leather trousers and a purple blazer with printed detail.

She teamed the pieces with a plain top and pointed toe kitten heels which were a change since at this year’s prestigious Met Gala she switched into comfortable trainers once she left the red carpet and more recently at Comic-Con she donned high top sneakers with her mini skirt.

Kristen wore her brunette locks with a side parting, and she fashioned a stand-out braid on her right side and left her wavy strands to hang over her face on her left.

Stewart was accompanied by her Twilight Saga co-stars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson.

Kristen won three awards, sharing the Ultimate Choice award with her on and off screen boyfriend Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast.

On her own, she was presented with the Choice Movie Actress: Romance surfboard, for her role as Bella Swan in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn –Part 1 and Movie Star of the Summer: Female for her title part in Snow White and the Huntsman.

And the award goes to

However Robert opted to give away his large trophy to the girls in the audience, causing his partner to follow suit.

Taylor was dressed in a brown leather jacket with a simple white T-shirt and black trousers, whereas Robert wore a large floral print shirt which he wore underneath a casual black jacket.
