Just Married! Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Are Man And Wife

Exchanging their vows on a cliff-top overlooking the ocean, Nick and Vanessa’s wedding was for close family members only.

After the ceremony, the couple was seen walking out of the tent arm-in-arm into the stunning British Virgin Islands sun-drenched weather.

Nick and Vanessa are said to have arrived on the island on Tuesday via a private jet.

Despite having a private affair, the couple invited the cameras in for their upcoming reality special titled ‘Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding’, a decision they said they discussed heavily prior to the big day.

‘We kind of wrestled with that for a while, for obvious reasons,’ Nick said earlier this month.

‘Having done reality TV in the past, I didn’t necessarily want to jump right back into it without having thought it through to great length, and we did.’

‘Vanessa and my wedding is for us, for the people in our lives who are close to us and mean a lot to us,’ he said. ‘That’s the way we wanted it, and I’m happy we’re able to do it that way.’

It is Nick’s second marriage, following his infamous three-year role as Jessica’s husband.

Nick and Vanessa are now planning to start a family together.

Former Miss Teen USA Vanessa told People magazine: ‘For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want and that’s to start a family together’

The couple got engaged in November and flew their wedding guests over the weekend to the secret location as a surprise.

Vanessa, who used to work as a correspondent for hit US show Entertainment tonight, said: ‘Nobody knew where they were going.’

Delighted Nick believes the plan was a spectacular success.

He said: ‘Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket.

‘We told them they were going away and the attire was ‘island chic.’ It was all very vague.’

Their nuptials will be televised on the TLC’s special called ‘Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding’.

The couple has released the first sneak peek of the documentary about their secret tropical paradise wedding.

A teaser for the upcoming show about their big day has been unveiled which shows the lead up to their nuptials.

The trailer features a brief interview, and also shows the bride-to-be trying on different dresses.

The pair met when Vanessa starred in Nick’s ‘What’s Left Of Me’ music video and soon began dating.

After three years of being together, they split in June 2009, but within months they had reconciled.

They announced their engagement last November.
