The basic idea of this diet is to focus on the individual as a whole taking into account one’s lifestyle, diet, emotions, home and work environments, exercise levels and stress levels.  By detoxing you are able to learn how to cleanse the negative elements in your life as well as how to flush out the toxins in your body. Dieters must avoid a strict list of foods, including red meat, dairy, most fruit, wheat, gluten and yeast, alcohol, nuts, potatoes, spreads, coffee and non-herbal tea, sugar, chocolate and sweets, and artificially produced flavorings, such as ketchup. Drinking two liters of water daily, and chewing food eight to 12 times before swallowing are core elements of this diet.
